Description

Qblock DH Winter is a complex blend
of Water
Reducing Plasticisers and Accelerating additives designed to provide
protection to freshly placed concrete down to temperatures of -8oC.
-8°C. Qblock DH Winter offers significant reduction in mixing
water, increased workability, increased frost resistance during
setting, higher strengths at an early stage, reduced bleeding and
segregation, reduced shrinkage.Qblock DH Winter is chloride free
and non-corrosive to embedded metals. Qblock DH Winter is a
brown granular powder.

Application
|
|
Qblock DH Winter is an excellent
product for concrete screeds, particularly when installing floor
heating, for manufacturing pre-cast concrete and concrete bricks and
blocks, as well as for pre-stressed concrete in areas of congested
reinforcement where high workability is of particular benefit.

Dosage
|
|
Qblock DH Winter should be added to
a small quantity of the mixing water and allowed to dissolve
before adding directly into the mixing drum in proportions between 0,3%
(down to -4°C) and 0,6% (down to -8°C) per cement used, (typically
1 sachet 75g per 25 kg of cement).
Further mixing water should then be slowly added to the mix ensuring
that the water addition is kept to a minimum for any given application.
All materials used in the mix must be free from ice and the temperature
of the mix prior to placing not be less than 4°C.
Work should be covered after placing until the minimum strength is
obtained or until the temperature rises above freezing.

Storage
|
|
Qblock DH Winter should be stored
in cool, dry conditions in closed sachets.
Shelf life when stored in accordance with the instruction in closed
packages is 24 months from manufacturing date specified on the
packaging .
