Description
|
Qfibre consists of chopped polypropylene
strands covered with a water-soluble binder, and is used as an additive
for concrete, mortars and rendering finishes. Qfibre reduces
drying shrinkage, crazing and cracking, decreases water absorptivity
and permeability in concrete, reduces penetration of chemicals, and
increases hardiness, resistance to impact, crushing and frost. Improves
workability and reduces separation in the mix, enhancing homogeneous
consistency of the concrete.
|
Application
|
Qfibre is designed to be used for making
concrete blocks, road slabs, road surfaces, kerb-stones, pipes, tanks
in sewage processing plants, for patching concrete and rendering
finishes, for manufacturing cellular concrete and thin layer wall
decorations, decorative details made of concrete, concrete brick and
pavement slabs, cement roofing tiles and finishing work, as an additive
for leveling mortars and mixes, thin layer screeds and stucco work.
|
Dosage
|
Qfibre may added to the concrete before or
during mixing, in a proportion of one 900g bag per 1m3 of concrete.
The
concrete with strands must be mixed for 5 minutes at 12 rev./min.
speed. Qfibre may be combined with other admixtures.
|
Storage
|
Qfibre should be stored in clean and tightly
closed containers in dry places, similarly to cement. Its shelf life in
closed containers is 36 months from manufacturing date specified on the
packaging.
